If you’re anything like me, you don’t ever really need to find an excuse to treat yourself to some new accessories so when it comes to the accessories for your wedding day, the world really is your oyster! Today, we’re taking you around the globe to Australia and into the studio of La Belle so that we can take a peek at their delightful new collection of exquisite bridal adornments.
Designer Hannah has been creating accessories for her own label for more than five years and she’s absolutely head over heels with La Belle. She handcrafts every single veil, headpiece, comb, garter or lace robe in her Canberra wedding accessory studio and so each La Belle piece is truly heirloom quality.
“The new ‘Natural Wonders’ collection from La Belle is my take on translating elements from my own garden into the luxe boheme,” explains Hannah. “I’ve designed each piece to be unforgettable in its own right but also adaptable for a style that’s classic, luxurious, vintage or even trendy.”
“The pieces in the ‘Natural Wonders’ collection feel timeless in their meticulous detailing, making them exquisite choices for your wedding day and as beloved keepsakes for years, even perhaps for generations, to come.”
The statement bridal accessories from La Belle have been inspired by the endless paths of a dreamy garden to the fragrant glory of springtime blooms, the natural world offers much inspiration. The range of adornments are, to my mind, sheer perfection. I love the delicate floral and vine details that you’ll see on pieces such as Harriet and Bella that are created using a variety of traditional handcrafting methods.
As every La Belle headpiece is made to order, you can request any bespoke changes that you’d like to make the piece yours and yours alone. Although, that said, headpieces such as the Honey Bee floral crown and the Chloe comb are so fabulous, I can’t imagine wanting to change them!
Hannah’s love of materials has certainly influenced the ‘Natural Wonders’ collection and in addition to the Swarovski crystals, gemstones and pearls that you’ll find in the headpiece designs, there are also divine veils made of fine lace and heavenly draped silk tulle. The Estelle veil with French Chantilly lace and Love Me Blossom, a stunning silk tulle veil with scattered flowers and a front blusher are both personal favourites from the collection.
These adorable fabrics have also been used in the La Belle collection of dressing gowns and robes. There’s more sublime Chantilly lace in Floriana and Jaimie but for a touch of 1930s glamour, Acacia is the design that’s caught my eye. This silk chiffon robe sweeps to the floor for perfect ‘getting ready’ style that will make the morning of your wedding feel all the more luxurious.
These sensual robes for brides and their bridal parties make getting ready for the big day a time of glamour and grace and they can be adapted for almost any occasion – think boudoir, honeymoon, relaxed days at home or even a post-wedding shoot.
And, amazingly, that’s not all. La Belle also offers lace and silk tulle wedding garters and Antoinette, a floral garland that is designed to drape below the back of your neck as the perfect finishing touch to a V-back gown or even as a simple waist sash.
There’s really nothing that La Belle haven’t thought of and every piece is intricately and perfectly made and perfectly captured in this shoot.
“The shoot for the Natural Wonders’ collection was assisted by celebrated fine art photographer Jon Cu, who boasts an incredible talent, a deep understanding of mood and atmosphere, and a keen eye for the subtlest details. Event stylist Yvonne Xue lent her feminine touch to the day’s exquisite visuals. And hair & makeup artist Jess Wilcox added a splash of enchantment to the entire proceedings.”
