Planning a wedding at this time of year lends itself perfectly to natures glowing and warm colour palette. Using the colours of this season, these images just ooze glamour and rustic goodness. With the orange tones of the pumpkins, rich red florals and accompanying gold stationery all creating a striking table-scape. The calligraphy brings a luxe feel alongside the cosy candles and bare tables. Get ready to pin to your hearts content.
“Charlotte and I have a love for autumnal colours, the rustic wood aged over the summer sun against the slight green to orange colours in the trees. We were trying to achieve a real fall themed shoot and what a perfect location than a pumpkin field!
We hadn’t quite realised how many coloured pumpkins actually existed! Blue, white, green, purple and of course the iconic Halloween orange pumpkins. The venue Copley Farm in Pontefract had acres and acres of pumpkin fields and with so many so it fitted our styled shoot brief perfectly. We hadn’t seen much pumpkin styled weddings around on wedding blogs/Pinterest etc, which would make our styled shoot quite unique. Natasha Jane events provided the flowers for the shoot. With crimson red peonies against dark hue green leaves and hydrangeas worked so well in the shoot, especially with the warm light from the flickering candles to set some warmth to the shoot. When you think of autumn you think beautiful colours and getting cosy. We then had deep red and gold name tags and menus supplied by Sally, which gave a bit of cosy Christmas feel and also complimented the flowers.
Charlotte and I work like a dream team together so this shoot flowed beautifully. We both a have a similar eye on how things should look and be directed through the lens. Posing the models in the back drop of pumpkins fitted better than we could imagine.
Alice Clarke is a contemporary jewellery marker and a goddess of bespoke wedding rings. Her show case of rings added a touch of luxury to the bride and table decorations. The unique and natural look complimented the colours and surroundings of the shoot.
Claire provide a really unique cake for the shoot, the floral pattern on the cake was artistic and in such fine detail. Claire achieved the autumn look we were trying to achieve and it fitted the day so well.”
