How did the two of you meet: Funny, the first time we meet was at my apartment complex swimming pool. I woudn’t never have thought I would met my future husband in a swimming suit.

Describe your engagement: We had a terrible snow storm and my husband had offered to drive me to work, little did I know he had left to go buy a ring while I was at work.  That evening after dinner he got down on one knee and asked me.

Your advice to other plus size brides: It is your day! We broke tradition with a morning ceremony and a bagel bar with juice and milk. It was helpful to stay within our  budget and be different.

Personal or handmade details: I loved that we thought outside the box to stay within a budget. Our music was by local high school students who did a beautiful job as well as a new young photographer who was more affordable to fill her portfolio.

Describe your flowers: I wanted to make my own and take my time so all the supplies were purchased at craft stores.

 

The thing that you would have done differently? My day was wonderful and I really wouldn’t have done much differently. I am a planner so it was nice to have everything prepared ahead of time.
