{Real Plus Size Wedding} Navy Blue, Gray and Gold B B Florida Wedding | Emily Katharine Photography

I absolutely loved this cute couple in their Nashville super chic and elegant engagement session.  So it’s no wonder that their wedding would be just as elegant. It included the gorgeous color combination of gold, ivory, gray and navy blue. And it’s oh so fabulous!  Emily Katharine Photography did a stunning job capturing it all.

From the Photographer:  “Brittney and Mike are some cool cats. They know how to rap, they know how to rhyme, and they definitely know how to dance.
The whole gang was super excited for their wedding day to be here- despite the ominous weather – despite the heat – this was their day! And everyone was ready to chant, rally, and jive! Brittney got ready at her friend Kelly’s, home. It was a beautiful spot with some gorgeous scenery. And, to make it even better, a corgi… or three. Brittney and all of her ladies enjoyed a big breakfast spread, followed by toasts and tears. An hour later, she dawned her strapless gown and her jewelry. Brittney wore her grandmother’s necklace and a bracelet from her uncle. She had an heirloom ring as well – lots of meaningful pieces for this lovely bride! Her bouquet was made of paper flowers. The paper had song lyrics from the first song they ever danced to (on the white paper) as well as their first song they were going to dance to as husband and wife (on the gold paper). Brittney and all of her ladies made their way across Gainesville to the adorable Sweetwater Branch Inn. I was in love with the charm of this sweet 1885 bed and breakfast. The backyard opened up into a jungle of flowers, twinkle lights (my favorite) and garden statues. I was in love. Brittney and Mike had one of the sweetest first looks I’ve seen. They were both overwhelmed with excitement and emotion – even giddy. It was stinkin’ adorable. Due to the rain, Brittney and Mike’s ceremony was moved inside the reception hall at Sweetwater but it was just lovely. Brittney walked down the aisle to ‘500 Miles,’ sung by one of the wedding guests. The vows that were exchanged were personal to their love story – and I loved every one. After their kiss, they were announced Mr. and Mrs. Whidden – and the wedding party covered them in confetti. Huge smiles ran across their face the entire day. The rest of the day was filled with “yes” chants, declarations of a new last name, Tebow-ing, delicious pound cake, a dance floor that was torn up by DJ Nick Fresh and all of the guests, tears, laughter, and a glorious rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody. Brittney and Mike made their exit through wedding wands and escaped in a car filled with balloons. It was a lovely day enjoyed by all!”
