Wedding table setting

I announced my marriage on Friday. We chose to have a small wedding with just my maid of honor, the best man and their companions.

After the ceremony, we invited the guests to our home to celebrate. We hired a cook that made us a fantastic three-course dinner, and the evening turned out just as I was hoping for. Intimate, informal and with lots of love and laughter!

I enjoyed planning and setting the table in the days coming up to the wedding, and as you can see I chose a theme of white, green and gold. I found the gold cutlery at a shop called “Søstrene Grene”, and I am really happy with the warm touch this added to the table, together with the gold candle holders I found on sale at “Kid Interiør”.

As for the menus and place cards, I ordered this from the talented Kristine over at “Spring Calligraphy” and I chose a see-through white paper as I just love the look that it has. It is details like this that bring the little extra to the decoration.

In the ceiling, I hung string lights to create a cozy and more intimate atmosphere. During the dinner and the rest of the evening, these lights, as well as the candles, were the only lights we had. I can tell you that the whole setting became really magical when it got darker outside. A great tip for your Valentine table setting or a romantic occasion!

In the center of the table, I filled lots of small vases with a mix of white and green flowers. The same type of flowers was also used in my wedding bouquet.

I hope that this table setting can be of inspiration, whether it is a wedding or other occasions. The day was like a wedding day should be – magnificent – and I will share more photos with you from the day as soon as I get them from the photographer.
