Welcome To The Future, Where Your Entire Living Room Comes In Tiny Boxes

“Shopping for furniture sucks,” declares Campaign, a new start-up that aims to penetrate the billion-dollar online furniture market. But, in the age of Ikea and big-box e-tailer domination, how can a little guy stand out? That question was top of mind when Campaign’s press materials landed in my inbox late last week. I thought, Your furniture is special how? It does what? Where?

And then, I realized: Campaign’s concept is actually pretty straightforward. The line is made up of three foundation pieces — a mid-century-inspired chair and two- and three-seater sofas — available in five colors of quality, natural cotton, with prices from $495 to $995. Each piece is flat-packed and shipped (for free!) via UPS or FedEx and arrives on your doorstep in three to five business days. Better yet? The line is easily assembled in under three minutes, without any tools — as the video below can attest.

Campaign offers custom fabric and finish options and only uses responsibly-sourced materials, including sustainably harvested wood and recyclable steel. The entire range is designed and manufactured in the Bay Area to boot.

While the line debuts online today, it won’t start shipping until November. We love the designs’ clean, straightforward lines and, of course, how they’re so easily assembled. We’d trade up from Ikea tomorrow — what about you?
