Intimate modern bohemian Mykonos wedding

Jigme and Shane had a very intimate modern yet bohemian wedding on the island of Mykonos this past summer. The venue was an incredible San Giorgio boutique hotel that had a lovely little Greek chapel on site, with lots of traditional Greek elements used in the decor and design. Sweet destination wedding inspiration for anyone thinking of making the Greek isles their location to be wed. Considering the bride and groom had a very short two months from getting engaged to getting married, we’re impressed with the gorgeous style photographed by Fine Art Curation member Vasia Han!

From the Bride: “We were engaged in March and got married in May. It was an elopement that organically morphed into a small, intimate wedding with close friends. We were already going to be in Mykonos for a conference, and we thought we’d get married there too—because it doesn’t get prettier than the Greek Islands! We found the venue and photographer on Instagram. One by one, friends bought tickets to come with us, until we were a party of 18 holiday makers. We were very blessed to have our creative and generous friends volunteer to get involved with aspects of the wedding (designing the wedding bands, designing and making the wedding dress, doing the bride’s hair, and even getting ordained to officiate the wedding). I decided to make every female who showed up an honorary bridesmaid. The morning of the wedding I went for a hike and tried to pick wild flowers for the bridesmaids’ bouquets, but ended up tracking in an infestation of slugs, snails, and bugs into our hotel room. One of my friends found out and ordered bouquets for everyone on-the-spot.”
